What is 2FA?

2FA stands for Two-Factor Authentication. Think of it like having two keys to get into your house. Your password is the first key, and 2FA is the second key.

How it Works?

  1. You Try to Log In: You put in your username and password like normal.
  2. The Exchange Asks for More: They ask you for a special code to prove it’s really you.
  3. Ways to Get the Code:
  4. Authenticator App: Most people use a special app on their phone that gives them a code that changes every minute.
  5. Text Message: The exchange can text you a code.
  6. Security Key: A small device that plugs into your computer that knows the code.
  7. You Put the Code In: You type in the code, and you’re logged in!

Why 2FA Matters?
Even if a hacker steals your password, they still can’t get into your account without your 2FA code. This makes your account much safer.

The Big Idea: Turning on 2FA is one of the most important things you can do to protect your crypto. It’s a bit of a hassle, but it’s worth it!
